WAITINGROOM is pleased to announce our participation in ART TAIPEI 2016 through November 12th to 15th, in the FUTURE section (Booth# Y-2) with a solo exhibition by Rikako KAWAUCHI (b.1990). KAWAUCHI is an emerging artist who works in various mediums including painting, drawing, neon sculpture and wire works, using a simple form which is a “line”. The exhibition includes all brand new works inspired by an England children’s song “London Bridge”, including 30-40 drawings, several paintings, 3 neon sculptures and 3 wire works. This is KAWAUCHI’s fair debut and it is her first time in an international art fair.

About the Artist
Rikako KAWAUCHI (b. 1990 in Tokyo). A current graduate student in Department of Painting, Tama Art University with focus on oil painting. She is an emerging artist following being selected in ART IN THE OFFICE, the open call program held by MONEX Inc, and solo exhibition at Shiseido Art Egg which was awarded. Her recent exhibitions include a solo exhibition “Back is confidential space. Behind=Elevator” (2015, WAITINGROOM, Tokyo), solo exhibition ”Collector and Artist: Rikako Kawauchi Exhibition" (2015, T-Art Gallery, Tokyo), "The 1st CAF, Winning Awards Exhibition (Kenjiro Hosaka Award)" (2014, TABLOID GALLERY, Tokyo) and many others.
