Tokyo, Japan – WAITINGROOM is pleased to announce Masaya NAKAHARA Solo Exhibition from May 27th to June 25th, 2017 and it is the first time to present the artist’s solo exhibition at our gallery and first time in 5 years to hold his full-scale solo exhibition. Masaya NAKAHARA is well known noise musician named “Violent Onsen Geisha” and “Hair Stylistics” both in Japan and abroad. He is also known as a novelist who won the Yukio Mishima Prize, Noma Literature Prize for New Writers, and Bunkamura Deux Magots Prize as well as a film critic who writes for many different medias. In addition to all these activities, NAKAHARA also works as an artist who creates collage, drawing and painting. This exhibition will showcase these different aspects of NAKAHARA’s multi talented artistic creativities, showing paintings, drawings, collages, videos and sound pieces all together and most of them will be new works.
