WAITINGROOM will be participating in the Art Fair Tokyo 2023 from Thursday, March 9 to Sunday, 12.
The exhibiting artist is Asako Fujikura.
The gallery in Edogawabashi will also host a group exhibition of gallery artists: Saya Okubo, Rikako Kawauchi, Fumika Tsuchitori, Suzuka Toyoda, and Asako Fujikura.
From the Tokyo International Forum to the gallery, it is a 12-minute ride on the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line to Edogawabashi Station, and a 5-minute walk from the station. We hope you will take this opportunity to visit the WAITINGROOM booth at the fair as well as the exhibition at our gallery space.

Asako Fujikura
Born in 1992 in Saitama. Graduated from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, School of Language and Culture Studies, Persian Language Program with Bachelor degree in 2016. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, Department of Film and New Media, With Master’s degree in 2018.
Recent exhibitions include the group exhibition “Spread Distance / Convert Method / Variable Sun” (Nihombashi Mitsukoshi Honten, Mitsukoshi Contemporary Gallery, Tokyo,) in 2022, the solo exhibition “Paradise for Free” (Calm&Punk Gallery, Tokyo) , the group exhibition “Back TOKYO Forth” (Tokyo International Cruise Terminal, Tokyo), the group exhibition “The Museum in the Multi-layered World” (NTT inter communication Center [ICC], Tokyo) in 2021, the solo exhibition “emergencies! 035 FUJIKURA Asako “Colony Highway Broadcast””, (NTT inter communication Center [ICC], Tokyo), the solo exhibition “Bald Mountain and deserted city primitive – functional, primitive -” (art space kimura ASK?, Tokyo) in 2018.
In 2022, Fujikura hosted the research project “Vanpool over the Clift In the Foreground” in Tokyo Bay.
She was awarded Grand Prix “LUMINE meets ART AWARD 2020”. The project by Fujikura and Takahiro Omura was accepted into the Project to Support Emerging Media Arts Creators “Program for Japanese Creators with Exploratory Projects” in 2022.
